For their second trip as a year group since joining us in September, our Thirds ventured across London for a Geography trip to Hyde Park.
The day trip was filled with adventure and exciting activities and missions to complete around Hyde Park, such as finding OS symbols.
Staff from the Hyde Park Learning Centre assisted FHRP staff in helping the girls to locate specific areas on a map.
One of the girls said, “My memorable moment was when the teachers at the centre gave us a gigantic map of England, and we had to find the 4-figure and 6-figure grid references of certain places. I was given a lot of freedom which also allowed me to work with my team and challenge myself with little to no help from the teachers”.
This trip goes down a treat each year, and is jam-packed with fun and challenging activities with memorable yet academic experiences where perseverance, knowledge, compassion, and spirit were shown and used throughout the whole day.
We’ve certainly got some future geographers on our hands!
