The school is four form entry and the year group is divided into four teaching groups for most subjects. At GCSE level, many classes are even smaller. The combination of small teaching groups and well qualified, committed teachers means that every girl is helped to achieve her full potential.

The school has an impressive reputation for music, drama, art and sport and enjoys excellent facilities for each, including our on-site swimming pool. The Gloucester Wing, which was opened in May 2009 by HRH The Duke of Gloucester, provides our girls with enviable facilities, including additional classrooms and seminar rooms, a performance area, for music, drama and theatre studies and an additional art studio. In 2021, the Helen McCrory Drama Studio, Art and Music Studios were opened as part of our Acceleration Project as well as the new Classics Centre situated just across the road from the main School site. Our modern Sixth Form Centre, Linhope House, opened in September 2022 and provides our A Level students with a dedicated space to bridge the gap between school and higher education.

In addition, the school’s central London location means that we are able to take advantage of the excellent range of museums, galleries and theatres on our doorstep to support all areas of our extensive curriculum, ensuring we are offering schooling for life.
