On Friday, our Lower Sixth students came together in Linhope House for their Higher Education Day – the first big step in their university journey!
The morning was all about setting up UCAS Hub accounts, reflecting on the year, and sharing their achievements and ambitions with tutors before breakout sessions offered valuable insights into STEM degrees, art schools, international universities, and degree apprenticeships.
In the afternoon, Jane Marshall, CEO of Optimising Futures, delivered an inspiring talk on crafting standout personal statements, followed by a hands-on workshop full of great advice and idea-sharing. The girls had been asked to bring an item in that has inspired the path they want to take after school, be that university or an apprenticeship.
With the help of upcoming Life Skills sessions, our Lower Sixth students are now equipped and motivated to take the next steps in their university applications this summer!
