Entrepreneurs must start somewhere and why not in school!
A group of Lower Sixth students have excelled in the Young Enterprise competition, impressing a panel of experts with their innovative business pitch, creativity, and deep understanding of their customers.
Over the past few months, their company, Formula8, has made a net profit of Ā£1,400. However, what truly stood out to the judges was their unique product concept, designed for women with an interest in motor racing. By offering two distinct products – bags and t shirts made from sustainably sourced materials – targeting different segments of the market, the team was able to expand their market share effectively.
As part of the competition, the girls were required to produce a detailed report, deliver a compelling presentation, and undergo a rigorous interview process. Their hard work and business acumen paid off as they demonstrated excellence in all aspects of running a business.
We are thrilled that the Formula8 team has advanced to the regional final after winning the Marketing Award and securing the Runner Up position for Best Company.
Well done to Emily, Louisa, Isabella, Amira, Athena, Phoebe and Ariana!
