LEADERSHIP.
At Francis Holland Regent's Park, leadership isn’t just a title - it’s a mindset. From Prefect to panel chair, every student is encouraged to step up, speak out, and shape the school around them.
BY EXAMPLE
At Francis Holland Regent’s Park, we offer a wide range of leadership opportunities that empower Sixth Form students to develop confidence, responsibility, and initiative.
Leadership roles are thoughtfully introduced throughout the year, beginning with the election of Sixth Form Prefects in the Autumn Term. The Prefects are led by the Senior Prefect, who sits on the Head Girl’s team. The Head Girl’s Team and the Society Presidents are democratically elected in the Spring Term. House Captains and Deputies are elected in the Summer Term. These roles enable students to make a meaningful impact during their final years at Francis Holland Regent’s Park.
HEAD GIRL'S TEAM
The Head Girl’s Team—including positions such as Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging Ambassador and Environmental Captain — all play a vital role in the leadership of the Sixth Form, liaison with the staff and younger students; they represent the school at key events, mentor younger pupils, and contribute to important decision-making processes.
Prefects support key school occasions like open mornings, music concerts, and community events, ensuring smooth organisation and a welcoming atmosphere. Society Presidents take charge of leading clubs and interest groups, while House Captains foster teamwork and school spirit by guiding their Houses in competitions and activities.
LOWER SIXTH
Lower Sixth students also engage in leadership through voluntary service and co-curricular initiatives, including debating and chairing panels during our renowned Hale Lecture Series. Leadership at Francis Holland Regent’s Park is not limited to formal titles; it is about encouraging every student to step forward, take initiative, and contribute in ways that suit their strengths and passions.
Through these diverse opportunities, our pupils develop essential skills—such as communication, collaboration, and problem-solving—that prepare them for future success in higher education and beyond.
