This May half-term, our swimmers swapped the school pool for an unforgettable experience in Malta on our Swim Tour.
Packed with training, competition, and cultural exploration, the girls took part in daily swim sessions, building up to a friendly gala against the local Sirens Swim Team.
Pupils had the opportunity to train in both an indoor 50-meter pool and the Sirens’ outdoor facility, pushing themselves through challenging sessions. We were especially impressed by their focus and perseverance throughout.
Beyond the pool, the group explored the beauty of Malta and its sister island, Gozo. Highlights included a guided Jeep tour across Gozo, where we visited the traditional salt pans, an age-old method of salt harvesting, as well as a scenic boat trip to the stunning Blue Lagoon, where the water was a vivid blue. Along the way, we passed breathtaking views of the Maltese coastline and striking rock formations.
This tour gave our swimmers the opportunity not only to develop their skills and compete against other talented athletes, but also to experience a new culture, strengthen friendships, and make lasting memories.
