During the recent February half term, our girls spent time at The Chapin School in Manhattan on an exchange visit.

The girls had a fantastic first day at The Chapin School. The girls met their buddies and some of the pupils attended classes in Spanish, Biology, Maths and Drama.

Head of Drama, Mrs Simmons, attended Performing Arts lessons and was lucky enough to see the culmination of a Grade 7 cross-curricular project which involved Dance, Drama, Art and Music. The project was on the topic of the Harlem Renaissance and the students used Integrated Theatre, collage, drumming, poetry and modern dance to explore that era. After classes pupils and staff from FHS walked down Fifth Avenue for dinner and milkshakes! The girls also visited Central Park and went to see a show on Broadway. They made excellent friends and their buddies even bought them Valentine’s Day cookies.

It was brilliant to continue our relationship with The Chapin School. Photos to follow!
