Last week, our LVI engineers visited PCS Instruments engineering firm as part of their Industrial Cadet Gold Award. This marks the fifth consecutive year that FHS has participated in this program, which pairs groups of 4-6 students with mentors from engineering companies. Throughout seven months, students tackle real-world engineering challenges, culminating in the creation of a comprehensive technical report, a model of their project, and a presentation delivered to a panel of external engineers. An essential part of the programme involves a company visit.

On Friday, March 12th, our team journeyed to PCS Instruments, located in West London. Renowned for their expertise in tribology and for crafting laboratory instruments for fuel and lubricant testing, PCS Instruments hosted our team for an informative tour of their facilities. Following the tour, the pupils delivered a presentation to a panel of seasoned engineers, receiving invaluable feedback on their project. Overall, it was a rewarding and informative day!
