At the core of our bursary programme is the belief that all children, regardless of background, should be able to reach their potential through education.

Here at Francis Holland, we are committed to widening access to the outstanding opportunities that our school has to offer for those who might significantly benefit from the experience but may never have been able to consider it.

This commitment is reflected in our pledge to significantly increase the number of transformational awards offered to deserving girls. These awards provide girls with significant support, well over and beyond the cost of fees, throughout their time at the School and are specifically for those families with limited means.

Girls funded in this way are known as Francis Holland Foundation Scholars, named after the Schoolā€™s Founder, who was Chaplain to Queen Victoria and King Edward VII and a visionary in philanthropy and education.

The recognition of Foundation Scholars in this way highlights the contribution these girls make to the School more widely. Broadening access to an outstanding education is at the very heart of the Schoolā€™s bursary initiative and one which continues Francis Hollandā€™s legacy.
