Parents and students gathered yesterday evening for the first of this year’s Careers Events.

Focusing on STEAM Research (that’s science, technology, engineering, arts and maths) we heard from four practitioners in the field – Dr Naseem Amin, CEO of gmp-orphan; Dr Natasha Ratcliffe, Research Involvement Manager at Parkinson’s UK; Dr Chloe Tartan, Research and Development Specialist at nChain; and Mr Gerasimos Klaoudatos, Head of Data Centre Sales at Hewlett Packard Enterprise. They shared with us their own journeys and highlighted the increasing role that technology is having in creating solutions to meet people’s needs, be they medical or consumer. Their advise to our students – to be bold, grasp every opportunity, don’t be afraid to change direction if something doesn’t work, and pursue your passions.
