Thursday 17th March was National Demo Day as part of British Science Week.
Along with hundreds of other schools across the country, FHS pledged to show a range of demonstrations to provoke discussions and generate excitement! At FHS we had a Chemistry show which explored the concept of energy, and how it can be taken in or given out in different ways during chemical reactions. We also exploited a lack of friction using the hover craft in the hall, to time how quickly students could get from one side to the other. Many thanks to the staff and sixth formers who helped out, and to everyone who took part.
