On Wednesday 16th March the Lower Fifth attended the Big Bang Science Fair at the NEC in Birmingham.
There were stalls on all areas of Science, from Medicine and Biochemistry to Engineering and Technology. Alongside a range of hands-on activities, the students learnt about new and unfamiliar areas of Science and about possible careers that Science subjects could lead them to. In the afternoon we watched a show on Hollywood Special Effects, which shed light on pyrotechnics, CGI and fake blood! A great day was had by all!
