The Lower Fifth geographers went on their IGCSE Geography fieldtrip to the Lake District from 12th – 18th April.

Although the weather was not kind to us whilst the girls were collecting river and slope measurements, spirits were not dampened! The girls enjoyed practising fieldwork techniques that are necessary for their IGCSE examination next summer. On Thursday, they completed two urban studies, one in a small village of Lindale, and the other in the attractive town of Bowness-on-Winderemere. They asked questionnaires to the public and created sound maps. After lunch and a spot of shopping, they enjoying a walk up to Orrest Head, where a fantastic view of Winderemere can be seen.
