On Saturday, three teams from Francis Holland made it through to the Cross-Country Cup Regional Finals, which this year was held in St Albans, Hertfordshire. It was the first time in the School’s history that we have ever got three teams to this level. The course was muddy and challenging, whilst the competition was fierce with some excellent schools in attendance. The Senior and Junior teams tried hard but ultimately did not make it through. They did all however give it their best effort and we are very proud of them for taking part.
The Inter team had an incredible morning, finishing in 1st place and qualifying for the Nationals in Leeds which takes part in early December! A massive congratulations to Ruby James, Imogen Brown, Katherine Peacock, Helena Malpica, Julie Johnson and Molly Marple for running so well.
This is a very proud moment for the School, one that has never happened before, and we wish them all the best of luck in the finals. Congratulations girls – we are so proud of you all!
