The Classics Department took the Upper Sixth girls who are studying Classical Civilisation to the British Museum to look at the Greek and Roman sculpture and artefacts.

The girls particularly enjoyed seeing the Parthenon sculptures after studying them in class and learning about the controversy over whether the British Museum should return them to Greece. We also looked at the Greek and Roman artefacts upstairs and discussed what these objects tell us about life in the ancient world.
