Bright and early on Tuesday morning, and before term had officially started, our Lower Fifth Geographers headed over to Stratford, East London for a day trip where they were tasked with assessing the impacts on the local area following the regeneration project for the London 2012 Olympics.

On Wednesday, they made their way up Walton-on-the-Naze where their research was geared towards measuring the effectiveness of groynes at trapping longshore drift.

These day trips are a fantastic way for our Geographers to gain the field experience required to support their in-depth classroom learning!
