This week, Francis Holland Regent’s Park proudly hosted its first-ever Year 9 End of Middle School Drama Showcase – a new addition to the school calendar that offered pupils the opportunity to demonstrate their development in drama and theatre.

Held in front of an invited audience of parents and staff, the evening highlighted the creativity, confidence and progress that Year 9 pupils have made throughout their drama studies since joining us in Year 7. Performances included a variety of monologues, devised pieces and short scenes, providing a valuable platform for pupils to refine their stagecraft in preparation for future productions. Our fantastic Drama teachers Ms Simmons and Miss Trump used GCSE mark schemes to give the girls guidance and feedback in line with what is expected for GCSE standards.

The showcase was not only a celebration of their achievements so far, but also a chance to look ahead to the exciting theatrical opportunities that await them in the Senior School.

Congratulations to all involved in a thoroughly enjoyable and inspiring evening.
