Tremendous congratulations to our Year 7 and 8 Scholars who impressed us this afternoon with their independent research projects on fascinating topics, including, ‘Space Nebulae’, ‘Needle Punch’, and ‘Forgotten Women Composers’ (just to name a small few!).

Pupils were given free rein, inspired by our Stretch & Challenge booklet, to explore any subject of their choice above and beyond the curriculum. The aim of the project is to promote independent learning and develop important research skills such as referencing and searching for sources. They were mentored by our Year 12 Scholars who offered meaningful support and guidance as the Sixth Form begin their own research journey through completing the Extended Project Qualification. We will congratulate pupils more formally in June with certificates and cake!
