On Monday 8th November, the Upper Fifth geographers went on a field trip to Amersham Field Studies Centre where we conducted fieldwork methodologies to help with our IGCSE Paper 4.
Whilst standing in the river (with very cold feet!), we measured factors such as velocity, width and depth using equipment like a hydroprop to measure the speed of water. We conducted another physical methodology and also looked at human methodologies such as environmental quality surveys. It was a very informative day preparing us for our exam.
Many thanks to Mrs Dawes and Ms OāDonoghue who organised the trip and came with us!
