Last Saturday, a group of a dozen Thirds travelled to Lille with Mr Bettridge and Mr Fillingham who both are both teaching the Thirds French this year.

The city of Lille is just over 75 minutes away from St Pancras by Eurostar train and the visit was jam-packed with activities. Particular highlights included: ordering and drinking a diabolo-menthe in a French café; interviewing passers-by in the street and asking them what the best tourist attractions are; a guided tour of the Palais des Beaux-Arts which is France’s largest museum outside of Paris; some free time for shopping; and a walking tour of the city.

Good fun was had by all!
