This week our Lower Sixth Geographers have been enjoying a week in Wales for their A Level Geography fieldwork trip. They began their trip by going up into the mountains at Cym Idwal to measure striations and enjoyed exploring the roche moutonnée in the Nant Ffrancon Valley. The girls showed great resilience and tenacity in completing their work despite the cold, wet and windy conditions! On the third day, they explored the Victorian coastal town of Llandudno to explore human geography and the impact of tourism on the town. The following day, the girls worked hard to collect data from their NEAs including observing infiltration rates and carbon content in deciduous forests and coniferous forests. They will then be taking this back to the classroom to analyse and present as part of their Geography A Level.
