This week, a spokeswoman, Radhika Surie, from the charity ‘GAIN- Girls are Investors’ talked to Sixth form students about a career in investment management.

GAIN’s goal is to improve gender-diversity in the investment management industry by encouraging women to learn and prepare for investment firms. Through the talk, Sixth form students learnt about the ‘buy-side’, which is the business of investing other people’s money in different assets classes such as stocks (equities), bonds, commodities, real estate and derivatives, the benefits of pursuing a career in investment, and more.

The lecture was very insightful, and it encouraged many to consider a career in investment management.
