On Monday 13th May, we welcomed former student Marie El-Khazen back to FHS to close this year’s Sixth Form Lecture series.

Marie studied Music at Leeds University and she has recently completed an MSc in Applied Positive Coaching Psychology, focusing particularly on the factors which contribute to wellbeing in musicians.

She talked to our Sixth Formers about communication styles and discussed the universal facial expressions we use when communicating with others which reveal our emotions and intentions. After an engaging and interacting activity, she concluded her talk with some useful observations on what to think about when going for interviews.

We are grateful to Marie and all the other guest speakers who have shared their stories and passions with us and who have inspired us, and made us think. We are looking forward to a new lecture series next Autumn Term. For now, we would like to wish good luck to our Sixth Formers who will be taking public or internal examinations.
