Thank you to Manisha Tailor MBE who led the first Hale Lecture of the year on Wednesday afternoon.

Manisha spoke with admirable integrity about the daily challenges of working in and navigating a traditionally male sport: football. Manisha shared her leadership journey from education into football, and her future aspirations to coach for England. Huge congratulations to our amazing interviewers: Amelie in Year 11 and Sofia in Year 12 who probed Manisha about the sexism and racism still highly prevalent in the game and how we can overcome it. Manisha sold many copies of her new book ‘Dream Like Me’ to the audience at the end; it was delightful to see so many of our students lining up to buy the book and thanking Manisha for inspiring them to pursue their sporting dreams! Thank you to everyone who joined!

Our next Hale Lecture is with Helen Fielding, the author of the bestselling novel, Bridget Jones’s Diary, on Wednesday 15thĀ November. More information to follow soon!
