Tuesday 8th March saw FHS reflect and celebrate for International Women’s Day.

As the girls approached the school gates, the smooth tones of the Spirit of Love Gospel Choir welcomed them into school. Songs such as “Lovely Day”, “Oh When the Saints” and “Proud” were performed in the morning sunshine for pupils and staff alike. The singing aimed to uplift us all and make the pupils feel special on International Women’s Day.

Throughout the day, a photobooth set up in the hall allowed pupils to pose with friends. Complete with hats, glasses and wigs, the girls posed the #BreakTheBias crossed arms in another celebration for International Women’s Day.

On the same day, the whole school came in wearing mufti to raise money for the Red Cross in Ukraine. We raised £1400 and hope to add even more to this at the bake sale later in the week.
