Every year on the 26th September we celebrate the European Day of Languages everywhere in Europe.

We have always joined in at Francis Holland School with educational assemblies, fun activities and linguistic challenges and this year we decided to celebrate it in even bigger style. For the first time we extended the celebration from one day to the whole week which terminated with a BOOM!! On Friday 30th September we “put up” a show in aid of Picaflor House, a centre that provides education to underprivileged kids in Peru. We held “FHS does the Eurovision Song Contest”. Students across different year groups sang in foreign languages and “reps” from different countries awarded points to crown this year’s winner – Germany. The show was presented in French. The audience participation helped us make this event simply magical.
