Last week’s Diversity Society session focused on religion.

Rama and Dina led the discussion on Islam, breaking down stereotypes, the portrayal of Muslims in the media, and even shared some of their own experiences. Makai also joined the discussion to share her personal experience growing up in a multi-faith household and how she navigates the disparities between the different religious practices and traditions.

Overall, it was highly insightful to hear the various outlooks that students had on different faiths. This conversation served as a reminder for how spiritually diverse the community here at Francis Holland School is and emphasised the importance of discussing misconceptions in order to resolve any conflicting ideas that may stem from how different faiths are perceived.
