We’re thrilled to share that our recent Spanish trip to watch La Casa de Bernarda Alba (The House of Bernarda Alba) was a resounding success! The play, performed entirely in Spanish, provided a captivating exploration of cultural and literary themes. Our A Level Spanish classes found it particularly beneficial, enhancing their understanding of 20th-century Spanish culture.

The play, a key part of our A Level literature curriculum, delves into themes of repression, passion, and conformity through the lens of a matriarch’s influence over her daughters. It was a thought-provoking experience that complemented their academic studies.

We appreciate the enthusiastic participation and look forward to more cultural experiences in the future!
