Deana co-founded the ‘RAP Project’, which aims to raise awareness and prepare young people for life after school, particularly with regard to personal safety issues.

She spoke to the Sixth Form about adjusting to life away from home, whether this is through university, taking a gap year or a new work environment with a new set of friends or colleagues. She highlighted some of the challenges: possible feelings of isolation, the effects of alcohol on decision-making and the wisdom of respecting local customs when travelling. She encouraged everyone to be aware, make sure they have all the information they need to make healthy decisions and to look out for each other.
This was a lively and informative presentation, thank you Deana!
