We were delighted to welcome the FHS community to the Ivor Place Hall for an unforgettable Inter-House Music Competition on Wednesday 29th March 2023!

Sophera and Olivia, our fabulous Upper Sixth compères, had the audience in stitches with many witty barbs to punctuate a smorgasbord of effervescent performances by Jupiter, Mars, Saturn and Neptune, enhanced by mood lighting in each House colour.

With Solo, Instrumental, Group Vocal and House Song rounds, there truly was something for everyone. Every member of staff and every pupil, from the Thirds to the Upper Sixth, showcased the FHS spirit that makes our school so unique and got well and truly stuck in to vivacious renditions of Mr Brightside, You Belong with Me, Call Me Baby and Count on Me, Since You’ve Been Gone and much more. We were also treated to a legendary dance cameo by Ms Hack!

Our judges had a near impossible task choosing the winner, but eventually it was Saturn who just pipped Mars to the post. Thanks to our amazing Music Department for organising such a brilliant event, and our judges including FHS Sloane Square’s Director of Music, Miss Vickery.

Congratulations to all our performers and we look forward to many more epic House competitions to come in the Summer Term!
