At the end of December, we held the annual Inter-House Hockey Competition where each year group battled to try and claim the 2022 winning title for their House. This year we welcomed Neptune for the first time and we all enjoyed playing 3 matches instead of the usual two. As well as being fiercely competitive, the games were played with great sportsmanship and nearly 300 pupils took part! It was great to see the House colours on show along with some nice Christmas touches to the PE kit and sticks! The hockey standard seems to improve with each year, and the Thirds’ competition was a fantastic testament to the progress they have made since September. The Lower Fourth competition was very close with some fantastic defending on show. Penalty corners proved to be a vital, with some form groups having success with well-rehearsed routines. The Upper Fourth proved to be as competitive as ever, and they produced some fast-flowing hockey though out. The Lower Fifth competition was notable for some great leadership from experienced club players, high participation levels and loud support on the side-lines! Well done to all of those involved and helped make it such a fantastic week.
