On Friday 15^th December, our skiing enthusiasts from the Lower Fourth to the Upper Fifth jetted off to the snowy climes of Sestriere, Italy, to compete in the annual Independent Schools Ski Championships. Following our successes last year at the tournament, this was another wonderful opportunity for our students to showcase their skills on the slopes, all in the hopes of bringing home some trophies for FHS. Despite solid competition from other schools across the UK, we were absolutely delighted to come home with 3 trophies: 2^nd in Senior Girls Slalom, 3^rd in Senior Girls Giant Slalom and 3^rd in Senior Girls Combined. Also, our dynamic FHS Ski Team came 4^th out of 16 teams in the Dual parallel Shield event, a mighty feat against teams of mostly boys. We are so proud of our students for such a fantastic result on the slopes, and we headed back to London on Thursday 21^st December just in time for a well-earned festive break.
