On Wednesday evening we were excited to welcome Gina Martin, campaigner and activist for gender equality. Gina spoke to a room full of students from FHS, Marylebone School, King Solomon Academy and Wetherby Senior School. Gina’s talk focused on her own campaign to make up-skirting a criminal offence in 2019 and her journey of becoming a public campaigner.

Hearing Gina Martin talk on the stage about her campaign was a truly inspiring and enlightening privilege. I was especially amazed by her persistent commitment to justice, in spite of certain obstacles, by challenging politicians to change the law. Activists like Gina are a beacon for light and hope in the world and I will definitely be taking inspiration from her moving forward to fight for a more equal society in my own little way ; Gina makes me believe that anything is achievable when you put your mind to it.
