On Wednesday and Thursday after school this week our LV Drama students performed the play DNA by Dennis Kelly. The girls directed and designed the play themselves, making decisions on movement, voice, costume and lighting.

DNA is a play with strong themes and issues. It was written in 2007 and explores the aftermath of 9/11, themes of gang culture and the effects of the rise of social media. The girls communicated these themes with maturity and the piece was both realistic and darkly funny. The individual performances were outstanding, and the ensemble pieces were beautifully done. I am so proud of the LV Drama group, in particular their support of one another. Well done to all!
