This week, the whole School has enjoyed celebrating Diversity Week. On Monday the Diversity flag was flown in front if the school and students were handed Pride heart-shaped stickers on the way into school. Throughout the week pupils enjoyed lessons on diversity within their PSHE programme and the Diversity Society gave a very informative and engaging assembly.

On Wednesday, students enjoyed a quiz on the topic and on Thursday they attended the screening of ‘Rocks’ during lunchtime. During the week, the library promoted a selection of material on the topic, and we had two dedicated boards to celebrate diversity and inclusion.  We are really looking forward to reviewing the entries for our inaugural ‘Design the FHS Diversity Flag’ House competition, which closes on Friday 1st July. The winning entry will be turned into a real flag for next years’ celebrations!

Thank you to all the pupils and staff who contributed so much to the celebrations across the week.
