This week, our Upper Fourth pupils swapped the classroom for the great outdoors on an unforgettable residential trip to Osmington Bay in Dorset. With sweeping sea views and a coastline rich in natural beauty, the setting provided the perfect backdrop for four days of adventure, challenge and camaraderie.
From the moment they arrived, the girls threw themselves into an action-packed programme of activities including canoeing, swimming, raft-building, abseiling, giant swings, rope climbing, and a host of team-building and problem-solving challenges. Whether scaling heights or navigating the water in homemade rafts, each task tested their resilience, leadership and teamwork – and they rose to every challenge with courage and determination!
Beyond the physical activities, the trip offered valuable time for reflection, connection, and personal growth. The laughter around the campfire, the encouragement shared on the climbing ropes, and the friendships deepened through shared experience made this a truly special week.
A heartfelt thank you to the dedicated staff who made the trip possible, and to our brilliant girls, who wholeheartedly embodied our school values of spirit, compassion and perseverance on this trip.
