The early morning snow on Saturday brought with it extra Christmas spirit for the Fair. The school was filled all afternoon with plenty of shopping and Christmas activities.

There were many new vendors this year, along with our favourite array of beautifully decorated Christmas Cakes by Steve, our school chef. The Lower School Choir and many participants sang carols and added to festive mood. There were so many activities planned by the girls that included a Christmas card delivery service and ‘guess how many FHS sweeties in the Jar’. Downstairs in the Christmas Grotto, along with Father Christmas and Plum Pudding assistants, a competition was on to see how long it was possible to stay on the wobbling snowboard!

The cafe stayed busy serving homemade cakes and sandwiches and smelled of mulled wine. There was an added bonus this year of a Silent Auction for X Factor Final Tickets too!

There are now FHS tea towels, bags and note cards to purchase all year round.

It is always a fantastic afternoon and the perfect way to support the Sayres Croft Summer Camp, Rainbow Centre in Sri Lanka and Swiss Cottage Special School.

Headmistress Mrs Vivienne Durham said, ‘Huge thanks to the Parents’ Association and to all the pupils, teachers and parents who contributed to success of the 2015 FHS Christmas Fair on Saturday in aid of his year’s three designated charities. This year’s event was the best ever!’
