Alumna Laure Chan returned to FHS on Monday 30^th October to enjoy lunch in the Head’s office with a selected group of music scholars. The girls took the opportunity to speak with Laure about her career to date and to ask her questions, discovering how she became a world-renowned violinist and a prolific composer and recording artist. They drew a huge amount of inspiration from Laure’s success. It was an absolute pleasure to welcome Laure back to FHS and to also show her our new state-of-the-art Sixth Form Centre. Laure hopes to return again soon to attend a concert and has also kindly agreed to run a workshop for violinists, if her schedule allows.

Laure attended Francis Holland from 2006-2009 as a music scholar and made her first return to School to perform an extraordinary violin recital at September’s Quondam Fundraising concert.
