CO-CURRICULAR

Sixth Form
Two women sit and talk on wooden steps in a modern indoor space with green plants on the wall in the background.

Ready to try something new? Something different? Something extraordinary? What would you like to join in with – or even lead?

CLUBS & SOCIETIES

From debating and STEM to music and sport to local volunteering (such as supporting elderly residents at Mosaic Club or helping local primary school children learn to read), there’s something for everyone in the Sixth Form.

Belonging to a club sharpens organisation, communication and teamwork abilities, with opportunities to become a club leader or society president. It also strengthens your university and career prospects.

TRIPS & VISITS

How do you fancy a World Challenge expedition to Borneo – a once-in-a-lifetime adventure that includes jungle trekking, cultural immersion and impactful community work? Or a Biology and Geography trip to Costa Rica – exploring rainforest living, meeting indigenous communities and studying local wildlife?

Our overseas trips and day trips, such as to London’s galleries and theatres or university taster days, are designed to broaden horizons, deepen learning and foster lasting friendships. They’re carefully planned to complement the A Level curriculum, support students’ wider development and build confidence and independence.

DUKE OF EDINBURGH AWARD

The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE) is a nationally recognised programme that challenges young people to step beyond their comfort zones, develop independence and leadership and build valuable life skills that complement academic success – whether hiking in the Brecon Beacons or leading a local volunteering project.

We offer Sixth Form students the chance to complete it at Silver and Gold levels. The Gold Award is highly regarded by universities and employers, showcasing initiative, commitment and a well-rounded character. Sixth Form students can take greater ownership of their progress, making DofE a meaningful part of their transition into adulthood.
