PASTORAL & WELLBEING
You matter.
That’s why our exceptional pastoral care is at the very core of school life.
A KIND, SUPPORTIVE ENVIRONMENT
Happy pupils thrive – inside and outside the classroom.
Each year group has a Head of Year to support Form Tutors, overseen by Heads of Section and the Pastoral Deputy Head. That said, every member of staff plays their role in helping every girl feel visible and supported. Three counsellors and a full-time School Nurse also work alongside the Pastoral Team.
Strong mentoring and buddy systems are in place: younger pupils are supported by their older peers and Sixth Formers are role models.
We also work in partnership with parents and offer workshops, advice and guidance to help during their daughter’s teenage years.
“With dedicated staff focused on the girls’ pastoral care, I believe that the school is one of the best in London in this regard. This exceptional support has been highlighted, and the girls have been gently encouraged and supported throughout with much care attention focused on their mental and emotional states.”

Our Wellbeing Suite, including The Space, offers a calm retreat for anyone simply needing to self-regulate and recharge.
Online platforms like Pulse and Whisper are where pupils can share concerns and access guidance, while having a pupil voice ensures girls are heard and actively engaged in shaping school life. We’re also a Girls On Board school: an external initiative helping pupils navigate friendships during their teenage years.
Ivor Place is a mobile phone-free campus to encourage pupils to interact with each other and engage with all that school life offers.

We aim to promote the emotional wellbeing of every pupil and help them manage life’s challenges with confidence and resilience.
Pupils can book confidential one-to-one appointments or attend drop-in sessions with our three counsellors available throughout the week. They may seek support for a variety of reasons, including academic pressures, stress, low mood, bereavement or personal challenges within friendships or family life. No issue is ever too small.
EATING MINDFULLY
Our freshly prepared school food is looked forward to by everyone. (Parents are welcomed at taster sessions!)
Healthy eating is a way of life, with hot and cold nutritious meals catering for all dietary needs and preferences, daily salad options and special menus celebrating diverse cultures. There’s also a grab ‘n’ go selection for anyone involved in a co-curricular activity.
Pupils are encouraged to give feedback through surveys, a pupil voice and School Council. We are committed to reducing food waste and donate excess food to charity.
