BEYOND THE CLASSROOM
There’s more to learning than being in a classroom. We have plenty on offer to spark intellectual curiosity, broaden horizons and inspire independent thinking.
STRETCH & CHALLENGE PROGRAMME
Our Stretch and Challenge extension activities are designed to ignite curious minds and encourage independent thought.
Pupils also take part in a wide range of enrichment opportunities: from UK Mathematics Challenges and creative writing competitions to cross-curricular research projects.
-
Our brightest pupils are encouraged to extend their learning beyond the curriculum, exploring topics that they are curious about and taking part in elements of school life that appeal to the most academically able pupils.
-
Our student-led Hale Lecture Series cultivates confidence, research, critical thinking and public speaking skills, while our Women in Tech initiative is an empowering way to help bridge the STEM gender gap.
Recent trail-blazing female leaders who’ve spoken include Maryam Ziarati McLoughlin, General Counsel and CEO of The Lwyr, Louise Laing, Founder of Phygital Twin, and Dr Alex Box, Founder of V-Metics.

These important skills are developed in every year group within The Life Programme with topics on civic discourse to the origins of oracy. One of our key aims is to empower pupils to be confident in using their voice. Outside of the classroom, skills are developed through debating competitions, assemblies and the RIBA Architects Ambassadors Programme, in which our pupils collaborate with girls from St Marylebone School to design and present projects with the support of professional architects.
