ACADEMIC LIFE
Explore ideas. Ask questions. Think independently. That’s what academic life here allows you to do.
A RICH AND BALANCED EDUCATION
Our Senior School curriculum is crafted to nurture academic ambition and inspire curiosity, creativity and confidence. This, together with expert teaching and a warm, purposeful learning environment, gives pupils the tools to develop a genuine love of learning.
They benefit from a strong grounding at every key stage in the core subjects of English, Mathematics and Science. From Year 7 (Thirds), pupils choose from four modern languages: French, Spanish, German and Italian—alongside a wide-ranging humanities programme including History, Geography, Computer Science and a broad Classics offering of Latin, Greek and Classical Civilisation. From Year 8 (Lower Fourth), Triple Science is available.
Creative subjects, such as Art, Music and Drama, are woven into the curriculum so that pupils can develop expressive and imaginative skills.
Most pupils take ten GCSEs as standard, but can tailor the number in line with their individual strengths and ambitions.
SCHOOLING FOR LIFE
Our commitment to this is at the heart of our curriculum.
Pupils take part in an integrated PSHE programme and a carefully designed Life Programme.
The Life Programme: Lessons in Future Empowerment
The new Francis Holland Regent’s Park Life Programme has been designed around five core pillars that are essential for our pupils to acquire to enter the workforce as forward-thinking, confident, curious and resilient young women. Over the course of each year, pupils study five core topics: Futures, Digital, Oracy, Research (including study skills) and Leadership and Enterprise. The programme is a spiral curriculum, where key concepts and skills are revisited from Thirds to Upper Sixth to enable pupils to develop a robust toolbox of skills and experiences for life after Francis Holland Regent’s Park.
These programmes are complemented by our Futures Programme which prepares pupils to navigate an evolving world with resilience and purpose.
“We are absolutely delighted with our eldest daughter’s experience at Francis Holland Regent’s Park. We find the warm and supportive environment, combined with high academic standards and rigor, exceptional among London schools.”

DIGITAL LEARNING
Digital literacy is a key part of our teaching and learning. We’re a Microsoft School and integrate Windows devices and Office 365 into daily teaching and learning as powerful digital tools.
All pupils study Computer Science from Year 7 to Year 9, with the subject available at GCSE and A Level. Digital skills are also taught through the Life Programme, in which pupils learn to research effectively, reference correctly and understand academic integrity –including using AI ethically.
SEND
All pupils, including pupils with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) or neurodiverse profiles, can access our full curriculum and thrive. Everyone is celebrated, supported and empowered to achieve their potential.
Our Learning Enhancement Department works closely with pupils, teachers and parents to meet individual learning needs. For prospective pupils with diagnostic reports, the Head of Learning Enhancement initiates early conversations to ensure a smooth transition into Senior School life. Reports are summarised and shared with teaching staff, who use adaptive teaching and “quality-first teaching” strategies.
We run a dyslexia screener to identify anyone at the start of Year 7 who may have learning needs. Baseline data is also analysed to identify potential areas of difficulty so that adaptations can be made, and every SEND pupil is closely monitored during their first term.
The Learning Enhancement Department works closely with the school’s Pastoral Team and teaching staff to identify students with underlying neurodiverse traits who may need support. Tailored help may include one-to-one sessions on areas such as spelling, revision and organisation in addition to department-run clinics or mentoring.
We are also mindful of sensory needs. A separate, quiet dining room and The Space – a calm room in our Wellbeing Suite – offer a peaceful place to recharge.
