On Wednesday 27th March, all sixth form Psychology students were treated to an inspiring and thought provoking day of lectures at the Emmanuel Centre.
Professor David Wilson, an eminent Criminologist, spoke about his work with various serial killers as well as his documentary on Jack the Ripper which will be aired on the BBC in April. In the lecture by Professor Elizabeth Loftus, we learnt about the inaccuracies of human memory and how they have led to wrongful convictions. The last slide of her presentation was very powerful, Memory – like liberty – is a fragile thing.
