Congratulations to Lower Sixth pupils and hosts of The Science Study Booth podcast, who have received a commendation in this year’s Kew Gardens Endeavour Competition Challenge.
The pair submitted a special podcast episode exploring the growing importance of green careers, highlighting both traditional and non-traditional pathways into sustainability-focused professions. Drawing on extensive research, they discussed routes into green careers, showcased a range of exciting opportunities and even included an interactive quiz for listeners.
The judging panel at Kew Gardens were highly impressed by the submission, praising the pupils’ “very natural, comfortable conversation style”, strong rapport as presenters and the depth of their research. Judges also highlighted the podcast’s clear structure, insightful discussion of green careers and creative approach to engaging listeners.
While the competition was fiercely contested, the pupils were awarded a commendation certificate in recognition of the quality of their work and the care, thought and creativity that went into the project.
We are incredibly proud of their achievement and delighted to see The Science Study Booth recognised by such a prestigious national competition. Their success is a wonderful example of the intellectual curiosity, communication skills and passion for scientific enquiry that we seek to foster at Francis Holland Regent’s Park.
