On Saturday 10th November, Francis Holland School, Regents Park hosted the annual Quondam Lunch for all alumni.
57 guests, including former staff and pupils, attended the event following a memorial service for Miss Sifleet, who taught maths at the school from 1956-1983 and was Deputy Headmistress from 1966-1983. We were delighted to welcome members of Miss Sifleets family, who shared special memories and photographs of her life outside the school and to whom we are extremely grateful.
We welcomed alumni both old and new; from the Class of 1949 through to 2007; it was wonderful to see all come together and enjoy the drinks and lunch reception. Sixth Form pupils were in attendance, providing tours of the school for guests, many of whom have not returned to the school since leaving. This was followed by a drinks reception and Quondam hosted their AGM where Susanne Nedas was welcomed as the new Chairman of Quondam. Susanne takes over the reins from Alison Edelshain who has held the post since 2007. We would like to extend our tremendous gratitude to Alison who has worked tirelessly for FHS, not only for Quondam but also as a member of the Governing Council. We look forward to her continued contribution on the Quondam Committee for the foreseeable future.
It was wonderful to see so many alumni reconnect, some after many years apart. We look forward to hosting next years Quondam Lunch and seeing as many of you as possible at future events, particularly those kindly volunteered to help with our Careers Events.
