On Wednesday 1 October, we were treated to a series of wonderful performances in this year’s Young Musician of the Year Competition!
The sound of ivories filled the Hall as pupils competed for the Junior, Intermediate and Advanced Piano Prizes. Well done to Eva G, Sara G, Lillian A and Eloise M who took the crown for each of the Piano categories.
Competition was fierce in the String categories, with sophisticated performances from our violinists. The winners of this year’s Strings Prizes were Riyaha J, Matilda P and Eloise M.
A spectacular Singing category was fought with real collaborative spirit in the music rooms. Our performers communicated to the audience beautifully and sang with lovely, rich voices. Well done to Savannah W, Rebecca R, Sophia R and Hero L for clinching the Singing Prizes and securing their places in the Grand Final.
In the afternoon, the winners of each category performed in the Hall for the Grand Final. This was a delightful and entertaining afternoon with mature and enjoyable performances from all pupils.
