Francis Holland Regent’s Park greens up its act!

14/11/2025

We’re ‘greening up our act’!

In recognition of the ongoing COP30 summit, we were delighted to welcome Philip from Green Up Your Act to talk to our Thirds Eco Reps as well as visitors from St Edward’s Schools and St Christina’s School about how they can repurpose and reuse household items that may otherwise go to waste.

Pupils heard from Philip about projects around the world that take items that typically go to landfill, such as tyres and glass bottles, and repurpose them into materials that can be used to build houses and water banks!

They then enjoyed a hands-on, interactive workshop, making their own notebooks from cardboard and scrap paper, as well as rainbow fish made from cork and recycled paper.

Huge thanks to Philip for inspiring the next generation of climate conscious citizens!
