Here at Francis Holland Regent’s Park we are proud to celebrate the outstanding achievements of its pupils in the Raspberry Pi Foundation Coding challenge 2026, a nationally recognised competition that develops computational thinking, problem‑solving and resilience through a series of rigorous coding challenges.
This year, we had 24 pupils from the Thirds, LIV and UIV participate, approaching the competition with enthusiasm, determination and intellectual curiosity.
The outcomes of the challenge were impressive:
- 8 pupils placed in the top 25% of scores nationally
- 4 pupils were awarded Best in School, representing the highest‑scoring pupils within our cohort
- 2 pupils ranked in the top 10% of participants nationally out of 85,390 pupils across the UK
A special commendation is reserved for one of our Lower Fourth pupils, whose performance was truly exceptional. Achieving a perfect score, she placed first nationally, an extraordinary accomplishment that reflects accuracy, perseverance and intellectual confidence at the highest level.
These results strongly reflect our commitment to ensuring that girls thrive in Computer Science. Competitions such as the Raspberry Pi Foundation Coding challenge provide invaluable opportunities for pupils to build confidence, develop sophisticated problem‑solving skills and see themselves as capable, successful computer scientists.
