We are delighted to celebrate the success of our Year 12 entrepreneurs following the national Tycoon Enterprise Competition London Finals, an inspiring initiative run by the Peter Jones Foundation, in which our pupils proudly participate each year.
Earlier this academic year, seven student teams launched and ran their own businesses, developing ideas from initial concepts through to fully operating enterprises. From pitching business plans and securing start-up funding to marketing, budgeting and trading for profit, pupils gained invaluable experience in entrepreneurship, teamwork and problem-solving, while building confidence and commercial awareness along the way.
Following a successful marketplace event earlier this term, one of our teams, Mula Meu – a sustainable, reusable cup and straw business – progressed to the Tycoon Enterprise London Finals, hosted this week by our sisters at Francis Holland Sloane Square. We are thrilled to share that our team was awarded Best Marketplace Stand and named Overall Runner Up, an outstanding achievement in a highly competitive regional field!
This competition provides a powerful opportunity for students to develop real-world skills, resilience and creativity while experiencing the challenges and rewards of running a business first-hand. We are incredibly proud of Mula Meu and all of our participating teams for their innovation, dedication and entrepreneurial spirit.
Our sincere thanks go to the Peter Jones Foundation for continuing to provide such a valuable and transformative opportunity for young people each year. Congratulations to all involved on an exceptional achievement!
