Cultural Exchange trip to The Chapin School in New York

23/02/2026

During half term, a small group of our Year 9 and Year 10 pupils embarked on an unforgettable trip to New York, combining cultural exploration with a special visit to our partner school – The Chapin School. The visit provided a wonderful opportunity for our pupils to connect with their peers overseas, experience a different school environment and strengthen an already valued international partnership.

Alongside their time at Chapin, the girls enjoyed a packed itinerary across the Big Apple, taking in some of the city’s most iconic landmarks and cultural destinations. Highlights included visits to The Met and the Statue of Liberty, a walk through the bright lights of Times Square and an insightful visit to The New York Times. The trip also featured a fantastic theatre outing to see ‘Little Shop of Horrors’, as well as a lively stop at the famous Ellen’s Stardust Diner, much to the pupils’ delight!

The experience was both enriching and inspiring, offering pupils the chance to broaden their horizons, immerse themselves in world-renowned cultural institutions and gain a deeper appreciation of global perspectives beyond the classroom.

Huge thanks to Ms Anslow and Mr Favreau for accompanying the pupils and making this exceptional trip possible.
